Ford Grabber Blue Single Stage Paint for Sale
What's Included With This Kit
|
This is typically enough material to cover the outside of an averaged size car. If you are painting inside the bed of a truck, inside the engine bay, inside the trunk, or if you have a larger than average vehicle you may need additional material.
Our factory colors offer a rich vibrant color that is a blendable match to the factory vehicles and codes indicated Quality polymers (resins), solvents, and additives used in the formulation ensure ease of application, fast dry, and good coverage. The base mixes 2:1 with UreKem urethane grade reducer (included in kit) and the clear mixes 4:1 with activator for the MS clear or 2:1 with the glamour clear.
Check local regulations for compliance. This kit is not compliant in areas that require low VOC finishes such as most of California, Maryland, Deleware, Rhode Island, and potentially other areas. For customers in areas requiring low VOC we offer a low VOC version of these basecoats. Check our related items section for the low VOC kits. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How is it possible to sell these products so much less than other companies?
Our unique sales and marketing strategy allows us to save large amounts of money by not hiring a national sales force to distribute our products. Furthermore, we do not have large marketing budgets based off exorbitant costs of race and show sponsorships. This allows us to make a high quality product and sell it for a fair price.
Is this a quality product?
Absolutely, but don't take our word for it. Click on the image below to pull up our latest unbiased reviews on our product and services through our ebay store.
How much paint do I need?
The amount of paint depends on a lot of factors but generally one kit will paint the outside and jambs on most vehicles. Large SUVs or large trucks where you are spraying inside the bed may need another quart kit or two but this is rare.
Which clear should I use?
Both clears are great clears so go with the type of clear you are most accustomed to spraying. Novice painters typically find the MS clear easier to work with while experienced painters who prefer a thicker higher solids clear tend to prefer the HS Glamour clear.
Which reducer should I use?
Choose your reducer based on the temperature and the size of the object you are painting. Generally speaking you should use medium reducer up to 85 degrees then switch to slow when painting a car When painting a bike or other smaller object use fast reducer up till 75F then switch to Medium.
Which activator should I use?
Like the reducer, you should choose your activator based on the size of the object you are painting and the temperature. Since this listing is for a car kit we'll assume you are painting a car and suggest using the standard activator for temps for temps from 65-90F and the slow at temps above 90F.
What primer should I use with this paint?
The type of primer you use depends on the condition of your vehicle. For application over bare (upainted) metal we recommend our Oxystik 2K Epoxy primer to ensure best adhesion and corrosion resistance. While Oxystik does provide some filling and sanding, it does not fill and sand as well as our KemFill 2K Urethane Primer Surfacer. KemFill is applied over Oxystik to fill imperfections and can be sanded smooth. If your existing paint is in good shape already our ColorSeal 2K primer sealer is a great choice to provide a good stable surface to apply your color layers over.
Will this paint match my vehicle?
We go to great lengths and expense to ensure a good match to factory color standards available for this color. However, due to variations in color from the vehicle factory during the manufacture of your vehicle, it is impossible to guarrantee a "perfect match" to every vehicle. This is true of any brand of automotive paint no matter what it costs. These matches are typically very close and suitable for overall painting or repairs where proper blending techniques are employed. We don't recommend purchasing this or any brand of paint online for repaints of parts that are simply painted and bolted on next to the factory colors. For "bolt on" paint repairs it is best to buy locally so you can use your local paint store's alternate/variant decks or color scanner to choose the best matching variant to your vehicle. Always spray a test panel before painting your vehicle to ensure an acceptable match.
How much is shipping and how long will it take before I get my kit?
Shipping is based on order total and orders over $400.00 will ship for free to the continental USA!. View our shipping map below for an estimate of how many work days it will take for you to receive your product. See the shipping chart below for shipping cost to the continental USA.
Does this product meet my local VOC requirement?
Check local regulations before purchasing. Some areas require a "low VOC" automotive paint for compliance with new air regulations. The map below shows some known low VOC regulated areas in red. However, regulations change often so always check your local regulations before purchasing. Contact us at info@thecoatingstore.com for more details.
